FAQs

Thank you for visiting our Christmas pre-order site. It exists purely to allow you to purchase all the food you would need for a perfect vegetarian Christmas - we even have a few last minute crackers and gift ideas if you want something for the table. Below are some FAQ's relating to Click and Collect or Delivery orders.

When do I need to order by?

All orders (for delivery or click and collect) must be in by 3pm on 20th December, however the earlier the better if you want to guarantee all items will be in stock. Most of the product on this menu are produced by local independents (like Orientee Artisan Bakery) who require sufficient notice in order to prepare the amounts we need. This is especially true if you are expecting to make a larger order.

What is your minimum order?

Our minimum order amount is £30. However, due to having a reduced product list for Christmas we are removing our packing charge completely!

Do you charge a packing fee?

No, due to having a reduced product list for Christmas we are not charging for packing.

When can I collect / when do you deliver?

Normal click and collect orders can be picked up from Bournville as normal up to Tuesday 22nd December, however, the following dates and times are set aside for the Christmas Pre-order Menu only.

Click & Collect from Bournville

You will be able to pick up your Click and collect orders from this website on Wednesday 23rd December. We have limited slots for click and collect (only 25!) orders due to social distancing guidelines, so it is a case of first come first served. We will send out emails with your click and collect slot one or two days before the collection day, informing you of your timeslot.

You will be given a half hour time slot between 5pm and 7.30pm.

Click and Collect from Digbeth

Just for the Christmas week we will have two collection slots (5.00-5.30 pm and 5.30-6.00 pm) on Wednesday 23rd December in Digbeth. These will have limited spaces also, so get your orders in early if you would prefer to collection from Digbeth!

Deliveries

Zone 1 (Digbeth/City Centre/Jewellery Quarter) - Wednesday 23rd December 4pm - 6pm (12 slots available)

Zone 2 (Harborne/Bearwood/Edgbaston) - Wednesday 23rd December 6pm - 8pm (16 slots available)

Zone 3 (Moseley/Kings Heath/Selly Oak) - Wednesday 23rd December 6.30pm - 8.30pm (12 slots available)

Zone 4 (Perry Barr/Sutton Coldfield/Boldmere) - Thursday 24th December 11am - 12pm (6 slots available)

What if we're not going to be in during your delivery times?

Not to worry - if you're not going to be at home when we deliver, we can leave your order with a neighbour or somewhere that it won't get damaged by the lovely British weather.

On the cart page there is a text box for special instructions for seller, please give the number of the house where you would like it dropped off or give a detailed description of your safe place.

Will you be stopping your usual click and collect or delivery services?

Normal click and collect orders can be picked up from Bournville as normal up to Tuesday 22nd December, but there will be no normal click and collect service on Wednesday 23rd December. We will re-open our regular click and collect service on Tuesday 29th December.

The last regular deliveries to our local zones will be on Saturday 19th December (to zones 2 and 4), and will resume on Saturday 2nd January, to zones 2 and 4, and Thursday 7th January, to zones 1 and 3.

We are closing for this period to make sure that the whole team get a chance to have a well-earned relax and spend time with family.

Will I be able to add anything to my order when I collect

Due to the expectation that this click and collect service will be very busy, we are leaving it up to the discretion of the team members serving on the night. If you want anything additional to your Christmas order, we recommend making a click and collect order the night before or come into the store during opening hours on 22nd or 23rd December. Regular click and collect orders are still being made through our www.thecleankilo.co.uk website for now.

Will I be able to make alterations or get a refund if I want to cancel my order?

We have created this website in order to make it possible for us to order the amount of fresh food that is required and reduce waste. It is therefore impossible for us to make any alterations or cancellations/refunds after you have made a purchase, as we make our orders based on demand.
